About Us
At Adaptiveoutdoorconcepts, we bring the beauty of real stone veneer to life with precision, creativity, and efficiency. Based in Templeton, MA, we proudly serve all of southern New England, offering fully customized stonework solutions that go beyond the typical “three choices” offered by others.
So, this all started in the mid-nineties as an easy summer job I chose while studying at Brandeis University. Quickly, it felt more like a craft and creative outlet than a service I was providing. After graduating I decided to discard my original plan of attending law school and started Millstone Landscape. I ran this company for over 20 years and recently sold it to one of my first employees who still operates under the same name.
Next, Creative Outdoor Spaces, LLC, a small company working in the central MA and southern NH area, friendly, attentive, one customer at a time.
The past few years people have been putting more effort into making their homes a comfortable place to spend time with family and friends. Post Covid, outdoor living has never been so popular and that is where I have been focusing my attention. A bit of a new endeavor, but more an extension of my past.
Building outdoor kitchens is not necessarily difficult, a good mason with general carpentry skills (and a lot of patience) can do it. The problem lies in the cost, materials are expensive, and the work is extremely time-consuming, resulting in a product most people simply can not afford.
Unlike a wall or patio, almost every square foot requires some detailed cutting or edging. I have spent over a year devising ways to speed up the process, including a shop where over 90% of the work can be completed.
Whether it’s a fast simple job to meet a budget or an intricate pattern, completing most of the work offsite saves time and money and we can work year round. I have also sourced the best building materials, which surprisingly are not the most expensive. The result, a beautiful custom hand crafted and durable product within reach.
